Retiring CAC Staff Commends Registrar-General For Prompt Payment of Exit Benefits to Staff

Abuja: (Flowerbudnews) The Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Alhaji Garba Abubakar has been commended for prompt payment of retirement benefits and clearing of inherited backlog of staff pension contributions.

A retiring senior/pioneer staff of the Commission, Mal. Mohammed Yazid Aliyu gave the commendation in Abuja on Wednesday during a send-forth ceremony organised in his honour by his colleagues in the CAC Public Affairs Unit.

A statement by Rasheed Mahe, CAC Head Media disclosed that Aliyu, who was a Deputy Director and Head, Intergovernmental Affairs noted  with delight that the Registrar General had ensured prompt and steady payment of exit benefits that were hitherto difficult for the Commission to settle.

He commended what he called Alhaji  Abubakar’s prudent management of scarce resources and urged him to sustain the tempo.

While thanking the Public Affairs Unit for the honour,  Aliyu charged staff of the Commission to cdedicate themselves to duty and discharge their responsibilities efficiently as well as support the reform initiatives of the Registrar General.

Speaking earlier, the Head Public Affairs Unit, Duke Ukaga extolled the virtues of the retiring officer and described him as a humble, peaceful and unassuming personality whose good quality service would be dearly missed by the Commission.

Ukaga prayed God to grant M.Y Aliyu fsi happy and prosperous retirement and urged him to continue to relate positively with the Unit and the Commission in General.

Also speaking the Special Assistant to the Registrar General, Terver Ayua-Jor described the celebrant as a reliable and dependable ally who would be dearly missed.

He prayed God Almighty to grant him good health and guide him appropriately as he begins a new journey.

Other speakers who took turns to extol the virtues of the Celebrant include Egbe Ethel Uzoechina, Director Nodal and State Operations, Glory Essien, Deputy Director/ Head Budget Department, Mahmoud Mohammed Gidado, Deputy Director/Head Procurement, Inyang Dominic Orok, Deputy Director Public Affairs, Olumide Ologe, PM Compliance and Mohammed Habib, PM Intergovernmental.

Most of the speakers were unanimous in commending the simplicity, benevolence and friendship of M.Y Aliyu fsi during his thirty years of service with the Commission.

CAC News reports that highlights of the event included presentation of gift, cutting of cake and toast for prosperous retirement life to the officer. (Flowerbudnews)
